Kauai’s tropical paradise is the backdrop for this world-class event. The Kauai Marathon and Half Marathon participants pass hula dancers and Taiko drum troupes along the course while viewing striking mountain and ocean views.  Each runner concludes his or her journey along one of the most beautiful oceanfront finishes in road racing.
The races start at 6am on Poipu Road between Keoki’s Paradise and Koloa Landing Resort. The half marathon and full marathons start together and share the first 11 miles of the course. At mile 11, the half marathon takes a left turn; the full marathon takes a right turn. We wish you a safe and enjoyable adventure through the lush tropical landscape of the Garden Island.

Kauai County Farm Bureau history...In June 1968, Katsuto Arashiro, a pineapple and tomato farmer in Wailua Homesteads; Lincoln Takenaka of Wailua Homesteads and Manuel Medeiros of Kalaheo both raised chickens for eggs and meat; George Hiyane of Kapaa grew pineapples; Antone Silva of Kalaheo grew Poinsettias; and Joseph Esaki, who was one of the first of Kauai farmers to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa to earn an Agricultural degree, was known for growing watermelon and truck crops in Kapahi and seeing the need for a farmers’ organization chartered the Kauai County Farm Bureau. Today’s Farm Bureau is the descendant of the organization created by these men and their farm families. These pioneers realized collectively purchasing inputs in bulk at lower prices and selling their agricultural products at higher prices jointly provided benefits to their individual businesses, and that their collective efforts would yield greater influence on public policy for diversified agriculture. Our agricultural roots run deep into the history of Kauai County and it is Farm Bureau’s hope that agriculture remains a strong economic sector in the years to come.

Here on the Garden Isle of Kaua'i the B-Rad Foundation is taking action to foster the environmental leaders and stewards of tomorrow. Working with Kaua'i schools we lead middle school students through our three part program based on Environmental Stewardship, Health and Adventure. Using these pillars, Kaua'i students have a chance to learn and take direct action to ensure a brighter future. We also host monthly B-RAD Beach Cleanups to preserve the natural beauty of our island, and to honor Brad through direct community outreach and growth. What started as a grassroots project of close family and friends, has now blossomed into a far reaching community-based effort.

We believe that our children are our most valuable resource and hope for a brighter future. Our "B-Rad Keiki Programs" have now partnered with three different Kaua'i schools and are gearing up for next year as we finish up with our current groups of sixth grade students. There is nothing that makes us happier than to empower the next generation of RAD. Look for us in a Kaua'i middle or elementary school near you!

In our B-Rad Beach Cleanups we have created a strong partnership with Kaua'i Surfrider Foundation. We have been fortunate to be able to use recycling programs to reuse most of all the hard plastics collected in our cleanup efforts as well as the derelict fishing nets. In the last year of clean-ups, we have collected over 90,000 lbs of trash from our shoreline in partnership with Surfrider and other non-profit groups.

Heiva I Kauai 2018 celebrates the 17th anniversary of a unique, exciting and colorful Tahitian dance and drumming competition. This annual event provides a venue for the next generation of performers to present their talent, skill and cultural knowledge to an audience of more than 1000 attendees daily! Come and enjoy balmy sea breezes and whispering palm trees at this community-sponsored, family-centered celebration of Tahitian culture. Participants from Hawaii, the Mainland and Japan, with a range in age from toddler to elder, perform solo and group competition and exhibition dances portraying legends and stories of Tahiti. Event admission is $7 at the door. Children age 12 and under are admitted free.
