The Second Annual Kauai Old Time Gathering will take place at Kokee State Park in the mountains on the westside of the beautiful island of Kauai. The hub of our festival and our gracious host is Kokee Lodge, an historic restaurant, bar, coffee shop and gift shop. 
Fiddles, banjos, guitars, mandolins, basses, voices! Fun, food, campfires, mountains!
Come one, come all musicians, singers, dancers, music and fun lovers. Bring your instruments and your tents for one full week of old time music, dancing, camping, learning, teaching and jamming. There will be a number of beds  in private cabins and bunkhouses available first come, first serve. There are many tent camping options. Camping opens Monday November 12th, 2018, with the main events of the gathering to take place Friday November 16th through Sunday November 18th. 
This gathering is focused on learning rather than performance. All skill levels will be welcome to attend a variety of musical  workshops on topics ranging from traditional banjo playing to fiddling to vocal harmonies. There will also be opportunities to learn about hula, foraging, cooking, blacksmithing and other crafts. Everyone is welcome, whether you play an instrument, love to listen or just want to relax in a beautiful place surrounded by mountains and music. Saturday Nov. 3rd at 9:30am in Downtown Kapaa & ending at 11:30am at the Kapaa Beach Park

The Kauai Veterans Council along with the Kapaa Business Association will partner to host the 2018 Kauai Veterans Day Parade. The parade will begin at 9:30am starting on Makaha Road and proceeding down Kuhio Highway thru downtown Kapaa and ending at Kapaa Beach Park on Nui Street. The parade will feature marching units from the different military services, community organizations, Kauai school’s marching bands and JROTC units.  Following the parade there will be a coconut festival craft fair featuring different ways the coconut and the tree leaves can be used for crafts as well different authentic food vendors featuring local foods. There will also be local entertainment featuring singers as well as a hula show.  A short program will be held to honor our Veterans. The parade falls on the first Saturday of the month so stick around for “First Saturday in Old Kapaa Town” where you can eat the eats, shop the shops, dance to the music and run into a bunch of friends! This month, don’t miss the “Kauai’s Got Talent” contest on the stage at the beach park.

A celebration of all things chocolate and coffee with lots of sampling, educational displays and workshops, entertainment and exhibitor booths featuring a variety of chocolate and coffee products, from around the state. The Kaua`i Chocolate & Coffee Festival kicks off with a Thursday night VIP event then continues for two days beginning on Friday evening and then picks up again on Saturday morning highlighting all the attributes of these two favorite local crops.
