The Anini Beachfront Estate once owned by actor Sylvester Stallone has been sold for $11 million.
In 1990, Stallone paid $401,800 for the property on Kauai’s North Shore and sold it in 1998 for $875,000, public records show. The four-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home, which features 4,807 square feet of living space and sits on a 1.3-acre parcel of land, has a total assessed value of nearly $8 million.
Utah-based Castle Pines LLC, which purchased the former Stallone home for $9.75 million in 2015, sold it earlier this year for $11 million to a joint venture involving Swaying Palms Kauai Venture LP and Live Oaks San Rafael LP.
In 2015, Stallone, who most recently starred in the latest “Rocky” series film “Creed,” had another one of his Kauai North Shore estates sold. The “Banana Beach House” a 3,212-square-foot home located on a 13,801-square-foot beachfront parcel on Hanalei bay. Stallone purchased the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home back in 1984 for $1.75 million and sold it in 1999.
From celebrities such as Chuck Norris and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, along with a partner in a hedge fund manager, who purchased several Hanalei properties for close to $50 million, the North Shore of Kauai has garnered a lot of attention these days.
The reasons for the North Shore’s recent rise in popularity, especially in Hanalei, are wide-ranging, including it being one of the last of the surf towns that carries an old plantation-style feel.
