Island wide sales volume increase 30% over last year. The North and South shores increase the most.

With the recent sale of Kauai Lagoons to developer, Ed Bushor, the Kauai Lagoons Golf Club will soon come under new management.  Billy Casper Golf, one of the top golf course owners and operators, has been chosen to manage the Jack Nicklause designed course that is not only picturesque but also boasts one of the longest ocean front courses in all of Hawai'i. The company also operates the Puakea Golf Course on Kauai.

Single family home prices continue to increase in price year over year.

According to the Kauai Film Commission, movie production expenditures from 'Jurassic World' helped Kauai reach $4.4M in revenue from movie production spending.

Kauai is an island known for hosting some very famous Hollywood movies.  Thus far there have been 73 movies filmed on Kauai. "Jurassic World" is the most recent movie filmed here; fourth movie in the iconic Jurassic Park series. Kauai's variety of landscapes and pristine environments make it an ideal stand-in for movies that take place in foreign countries.

Kauai Lagoons recently sold for $60M to developer Ed Bushor.  The development is nestled next to Nawiliwili harbor and includes 83-acres of land that can be developed as well as the 601-acre planned community. The property has the potential to build 700 units.

Despite fewer sales, Condo sales prices rose by 15% for all of 2014.
