Statewide until April 30:

* 14-day quarantine for all incoming visitors and returning residents.

* "Stay-at-home" order whether in place of residence, vacation rental, hotel, or condominium.

Kaua'i County until April 30:

* Nightly curfew from 9pm to 5am.

* Police conducting road checkpoints to enforce the State's "Stay-at-home" order.

Princeville:

* Closed until further notice: Princeville Community Center; Prince Albert Park playground, Pavilion and restrooms.

* All park grass areas remain open for healthy activities and exercise - please observe social distancing protocols.

* The PHCA office is closed until Monday, May 4, though staff is working remotely.

E Pili Kakou I Ho’okahi Lahui is a Hawaiian hula conference and retreat that has been held for over 19 years. Our program has a global reach and has been held on the Island of Kaua’i, Japan, Tahiti & Marquesas. In addition, we have held our retreats in Canada and California to include Sacramento and San Diego. A multi-two day seminar in which non-hula dancers, hula students, leaders, experts, and teachers come together in a common bond to celebrate the hula! They will learn, experience, exchange dances and ideas, share, meet new friends, increase their knowledge in hula, improve their history, language, usage of native plants in hula, improve their self-esteem and confidence. Several levels and specialized classes and subject matters are implemented and conducted to ensure all interests and all ages will want to participate.E Pili Kakou I Ho’okahi Lahui is a three-day event that brings together some of Hawaii’s most accomplished hula instructors (kumu hula) and cultural specialists to teach workshops in all styles of hula and chanting as well as to share the stories and spirituality behind the dance. The event also showcases many of the arts and crafts unique to the islands. The setting is non-competitive and open, which helps to accomplish one of the main goals of this event, which is to foster a feeling of “lokahi” or unity amongst a diversity of hula practitioners worldwide. From its humble beginnings in 1998 with 100 participants mainly from Kaua`i only, the event has grown to host well over 400 attendees, hailing from all over Hawaii and the mainland as well as Japan, Canada, and Europe. The Kaua’i Quilt Show is an annual event, Free to the public. This year the location will again be at the Kaua’i Society of Arts Gallery in the Kukui Grove Mall, Lihue. Open daily from 10 AM to 6PM and Fridays from 10Am to 8PM. February 14th till 26th. There will be over 70 Quilts hung on display many of them will be for sale. There will be designated donation quilts for sale with 100% of the proceeds to go to a local non-profit organization of the buyer’s choice as well as  smaller handmade items will be for sale in our “Quilt Boutique”. All proceeds go towards running the show and anything left over goes to supplies for donation quilts. You can vote for Viewer’s Choice. The quilt that gathers the most votes will get to be on next year’s flyer/postcard. There will be an opening reception to “Meet the Quilters” from 5 PM to 8PM on Friday the 14th of February. Come share in the fellowship, see beautiful quilts, talk story with some of our quilters and enjoy the amazing variety of techniques and styles of quilting. The KSA Gallery is in the center of the Kukui Grove Mall behind Longs Drugstore and the new Children’s Play area.  

Waimea Town will celebrate its 43rd Anniversary in 2020, and our town will be filled with 9 days of events and cultural exhibits all culminating in a 3-day hoolaulea with continuous LIVE entertainment on a big stage, local food booths, craft vendors, games, rides and a beer garden! Kauai’s largest and oldest annual festival on the west side of the island. We celebrate our proud history and tight-knit community with over a week of cultural and recreational events!
