Hyatt Hotels Corp. announced its plans this week to launch The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, which will include Kauai's famous Coco Palms Resort. 

The Kauai resort, closed since Hurricane Iniki in 1992, is scheduled to undergo a complete restoration and reopening by spring 2018 according to news releases by Hyatt Hotels.

Other properties included in the new upper-upscale/luxury property collection are: The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas, the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris and the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay The four properties selected for the launch were inspired by places Hyatt guests want to go.
