KAUAI VOICES MIXED PLATE CONCERTS SERVE UP A VARIETY OF MUSICAL GENRES - JANUARY 2020 - Treat yourself to a flavorful musical experience bursting with variety when Kauai Voices performs its MIXED PLATE! concert series and serves up five musical genres —  Jazz, Blues, Country, Gospel and Hawaiian — in venues across the island over two weekends: January 18 in Kilauea, January 19 in Waimea, and January 25 and 26 in Lihue. “More than 50 voices will present spectacular choral arrangements of songs from each of the genres — as will our soloists, who will treat you to their favorite musical “pupus,” said Randy Leonard, artistic director of Kauai Voices, the island’s highly popular 50+member auditioned choral ensemble. In addition, the fabulous Kauai Voices instrumentalists will accompany the group, and Ka Waikahe Lani Malie, a local Kauai hula halau, will provide a special sweet treat when it performs during elements of the evening. Audiences can enjoy this delicious concert series — accompanied once again by the highly talented pianist Monica Chung — with a choice of four concerts in three different locations, over two weekends in January: On Saturday, January 18 at 6 PM at the Anaina Hou Porter Pavilion in Kilauea, where audience members can come early and enjoy the food vendors and spirits before the show. On Sunday, January 19 at 3 PM, on the West Side at the Historic Waimea Theater in Waimea, where folks can snack on standard theater-style munchies during the concert. And on Saturday January 25 at 7 PM, and Sunday, January 26 at 3 PM, at the KCC Performing Arts Center in Lihue — where music lovers can indulge in the sweet, freshly-baked pies by The Right Slice before the show or at intermission. Tickets for Kauai Voices MIXED PLATE! are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and $30 for VIP Early Seating
