Finally UBER has added another Hawaiian Island to its list with an upcoming launch on Kauai this Friday March 10, 2017
The company first launched on Oahu in 2013, followed by Maui in 2014. Since coming to the state in 2013, Uber has added more than 5,000 drivers on Oahu. The are also on Maui since 2014.
To mark the Kauai launch, the company said it will hold a celebration at Kauai Brewing Company at 5 p.m. on Friday.
The San Francisco-based company said it is searching for a chief operating officer, following a video which surfaced showing Uber Chief Executive Officer Travis Kalanick arguing with an Uber driver over rates. Kalanick has stated he needs leadership help in response to the video. In a blog posted on Tuesday, Kalanick said, “This morning I told the Uber team that we’re actively looking for a Chief Operating Officer: a peer who can partner with me to write the next chapter in our journey.”
